One valve that adjusts itself to process demand.
The disc is open in the main flow. The bypass stays closed, no energy is lost.
As demand drops the disc moves down and the mechanically linked bypass opens.
The minimum flow returns through the bypass. The pump stays protected, without external energy.
Schroeder spare parts are what keep a pump protection valve doing its job long after the day it was installed, and at Dutch Valve Vision we supply them as the official Schroeder Valves spare parts distributor for the Benelux. A Schroeder automatic recirculation valve is built for a long service life, but it is still a mechanical device with parts that move, seal and carry load every time the pump starts, runs at part load and stops. Sooner or later a gasket needs replacing, a seat shows wear or a spring loses some of its tension.
We supply original Schroeder spare parts for automatic recirculation valves, check valves and other pump protection solutions. All parts are 100 percent original, come with factory warranty and are delivered quickly from European stock. Behind the counter are valve and pump specialists who understand what the parts do, which matters more than it might seem when you are trying to identify a component on a valve that was installed many years ago.
This page explains which parts we supply, why original parts matter for a self-actuated valve in particular, how upgrade kits can extend the life of older models, and how to make sure you order the right part the first time.

In many valves a replacement part only has to fit. In a Schroeder recirculation valve it also has to behave exactly like the original. The valve has no controller, no transmitter and no setpoint in software. Its behaviour is defined by the mechanics: the check disc that is lifted by the flow, the spring that balances it, the seat on which it closes and the bypass element that is coupled to it. Together these parts decide at which process flow the bypass opens, how far it opens and how tightly the check function closes when the pump stops.
That is why we are strict about original Schroeder spare parts, and why we only supply genuine ones. A spring with a slightly different characteristic, a seat with a different geometry or a gasket of the wrong material may look fine on the workbench, yet change how the valve responds in service. The consequence is not always visible straight away. The pump may recirculate more than needed, or less than it should, and the first sign could be a mechanical seal that fails earlier than expected.
Original parts ensure a perfect fit, long-term reliability and the performance the valve was designed for. They extend the life of the installation and help prevent downtime, with quality that comes directly from the manufacturer.
There is also a documentation side to this. Many plants have to show auditors and insurers that safety related equipment is maintained with approved parts. When a pump protection valve on a fire water pump or a feed water pump is overhauled, the parts used become part of the maintenance record. Genuine Schroeder spare parts, supplied through the official distributor, make that record straightforward. A part of unknown origin, however good it may look, turns a routine job into a question mark in the file. For critical pumps that alone is a strong argument to stay with original parts, even when an alternative seems quicker to obtain on a busy day.
A dedicated series for every pressure class and application.

Our range of Schroeder spare parts covers the parts that are replaced most often during maintenance as well as the components needed for more thorough overhauls. For automatic recirculation valves and check valves we supply gaskets, springs, housing parts, seats and valve components. For older models, upgrade kits are available.
Gaskets are the most common item on any maintenance order. They are replaced every time a valve is opened, and the correct material depends on the medium and the process conditions. Springs are critical because they influence how the check disc responds to the flow, and with it the opening behaviour of the bypass. Seats determine how tightly the check function closes and how the bypass seals when it should be shut. Housing parts and other valve components come into play when wear or erosion has gone further, for example in the bypass of a valve that has worked for years with a high pressure difference.
We also provide technical support during installation of the parts or when a selection question arises. When a maintenance team opens a valve and finds something unexpected, a quick call with one of our specialists often saves a lot of guesswork.

Schroeder has been building recirculation valves for more than 70 years, which means that many plants still operate valves from earlier generations. Those valves often still do their job, but parts for older designs are not always the same as for current models. For that situation Schroeder offers upgrade kits for older models.
An upgrade kit allows an existing valve to be brought up to date without replacing the complete body. For the plant that means the valve stays in its place in the piping, no new flanges or supports are needed and the change can be made during a regular maintenance window. We look at the nameplate and the history of the valve to see whether an upgrade kit is available and whether it is the right step, or whether another route makes more sense.
Think of a power plant where the feed water pumps have been protected by the same valves for decades. The maintenance manager wants to keep them, because they have proven themselves, but also wants the certainty of current parts. That is exactly the kind of case where an upgrade kit is worth discussing.

Only original Schroeder parts.
Flow calibration and pressure test after overhaul.
Full Schroeder factory warranty.
Two identical valves can need very different Schroeder spare parts, simply because they work in different conditions. That is why we always ask about the duty before we recommend a set of parts.
A valve on a pump that starts and stops many times a day puts its check disc, spring and seat through far more cycles than a valve on a pump that runs steadily for weeks. In that situation the parts that move and close deserve the most attention. A valve on a pump that spends long periods at part load has its bypass open for many hours, and the bypass components carry most of the load. When the pressure difference between the pump discharge and the return point is high, the pressure reducing parts in the bypass are exposed to high velocities, and erosion becomes the main wear mechanism over time.
The medium adds its own influence. Boiler feed water at high temperature, seawater in a fire fighting system, ammonia or nitric acid in a chemical plant and hydrocarbons each place different demands on gaskets and seals. The correct gasket material is not a detail but part of the specification, and choosing it based on what happens to be on the shelf is a common source of trouble.
Picture a maintenance engineer preparing the annual inspection of a boiler house. The feed water pumps have been cycling more than usual because of changes in steam demand. Before the valves are opened, it makes sense to check whether the usual gasket set is enough, or whether seats and springs should be on hand as well. A short conversation about the operating history often answers that question before the first bolt is loosened.
Larger sites often have a whole family of Schroeder valves: feed water pumps, cooling water pumps, fire water pumps and process pumps, installed in different project phases and sometimes of different generations. Managing spare parts for such a site is a task in itself.
We help by bringing structure to it. First we make an inventory of the installed valves, their series and their duties, based on nameplates and your maintenance records. Then we group the valves that share the same parts, so a single stock of Schroeder spare parts can cover several positions where that is possible. Valves of older generations get extra attention, because that is where upgrade kits for older models come into the picture. The result is a clear overview that your maintenance planners and your purchasing department can both work with, instead of a collection of individual orders placed whenever something fails.
Send us medium, pressure, temperature and connection. Our specialists come back with a matching proposal.
The worst moment to look for spare parts is when the valve is already open and the pump is waiting. Planning ahead makes a big difference, especially for pumps that are critical for safety or production.
We help customers put together a spare parts list for their Schroeder valves. That usually starts with an overview of the installed valves, their series and their duties. From there we look at which parts are replaced at every inspection, such as gaskets, and which parts are worth keeping as insurance spares for critical pumps, such as springs or seats. A spare parts list tailored to your installation avoids both empty shelves and unnecessary stock.
Turnarounds and planned maintenance stops deserve special attention. When several valves are opened in the same window, the parts need to be on site before the work starts. Because original Schroeder spare parts are available from European stock, we can often deliver quickly, but planning together with your maintenance schedule keeps the risk as small as possible.
Most delays in spare parts orders come from incomplete identification, not from supply. A Schroeder valve that has been in service for a long time may have been modified, its documentation may have been lost, or the tag number in the maintenance system may no longer match the nameplate.
The quickest route is to send us the nameplate details of the valve, the tag number used in your plant and a photo of the valve and its nameplate. If you already know which parts you need, list them. If not, describe what you see: a leaking gasket, a check function that no longer closes properly, a bypass that seems to stay open, or wear found during an inspection. With that information our specialists can identify the series and the parts, and advise whether parts alone will solve the problem.
Not every problem is solved by replacing a part on site. When wear has affected several components, or when the valve’s behaviour has to be verified, a complete repair is often the better choice. Dutch Valve Vision is the official repair point for Schroeder Valves. Repairs are carried out with original OEM Schroeder parts only. After revision, the valve receives a flow calibration test and a pressure test on the Schroeder test bench, and it is readjusted until it reaches its original settings if any deviations are measured.
Every valve repaired through us comes with a full Schroeder factory warranty, and after repair it can be regarded as new. We are happy to help you decide between parts and repair. The answer depends on the condition of the valve, the criticality of the pump and the time available in your maintenance window.
As official and exclusive agent of Schroeder Valves in the Benelux, we combine direct access to original parts with practical knowledge of the valves and the pumps they protect. Question not listed? Our specialists are happy to help.
Yes, all parts we supply are 100 percent original Schroeder parts. Dutch Valve Vision is the official Schroeder Valves spare parts distributor for the Benelux. The parts come directly from the manufacturer’s supply chain. That guarantees a perfect fit and the performance the valve was designed for. For a self-actuated valve this is especially important. Springs, seats and discs determine how the valve responds to the flow. Non-original parts can change that behaviour without being visible straight away. Original parts also come with factory warranty.
We supply parts for Schroeder automatic recirculation valves, check valves and other pump protection solutions. The range includes gaskets, springs, housing parts, seats and valve components. For older models, upgrade kits are available. We also support you with technical questions during installation or selection. If you need a part that is not on this list, just ask. Our specialists will check what is available for your valve. The nameplate details help us identify the right component. We then send you an offer for the parts you need.
Original Schroeder spare parts are available quickly from European stock. The actual delivery time depends on the part and the quantity. Common wear parts such as gaskets are easier to plan than larger housing parts. For turnarounds we recommend ordering in good time before the work starts. That way the parts are on site when the valve is opened. For urgent situations, please call us so we can check availability directly. Complete identification of the valve speeds up the process considerably. We keep you informed about the expected delivery throughout.
The most important information is the nameplate data of the valve. The tag number used in your plant helps us link the valve to your maintenance records. A photo of the valve and the nameplate is very useful. If you know which parts you need, please list them. If not, describe the problem you have found. Examples are a leaking gasket, a check function that does not close or visible wear. With this information we can identify the series and the parts. We then advise whether parts alone will solve the problem.
Yes, Schroeder offers upgrade kits for older models. Many plants still operate valves from earlier generations that continue to perform well. An upgrade kit brings such a valve up to date without replacing the complete body. The valve stays in the piping, so no new flanges or supports are needed. The work can usually be done during a regular maintenance window. We check the nameplate and history of the valve to see which kit applies. Sometimes a repair or replacement is the better route. We advise you honestly on the best option.
Yes, the original Schroeder parts we supply come with factory warranty. That applies because they are genuine parts from the manufacturer. Valves repaired through us receive a full Schroeder factory warranty as well. Those repairs are carried out with original OEM parts only. After revision each valve is tested on the Schroeder test bench. The test consists of a flow calibration test and a pressure test. If deviations are measured, the valve is readjusted until it reaches its original settings. After repair the valve can be regarded as new.
That depends on the condition of the valve and the criticality of the pump. Replacing gaskets or a single worn part is often done on site by your own maintenance team. When several components are worn, a complete repair is usually the better choice. A repair also verifies the behaviour of the valve on the Schroeder test bench. That gives certainty that the bypass opens and closes as intended. For critical pumps, that verification can be worth the extra time. The available maintenance window also plays a role. We are happy to help you weigh these options.
